When Are Financial Aid Packages Sent Out

For returning students, packages are generally sent out in late spring to early summer. It’s important to note that these timelines can vary based on when your FAFSA application was completed and processed. Additionally, any required documentation or verification processes can influence the timing. We recommend students regularly check their º£½ÇÂÛ̳ email for notifications and updates regarding their financial aid package. If you have concerns about not receiving your package within the expected timeframe, please reach out to the Scholarship & Financial Aid Office for assistance and clarification.

    Account Selected for Verification.

Financial aid applications are commonly selected for verification.  Each year the federal government selects families to verify the information submitted on the FAFSA. At least 30% of all financial aid applications are federally selected for verification. To find out if you have been selected for verification, check your financial aid requirements on My Portal. See more on the verification process.

If in verification, all need-based, federal, and state aid offered are estimated until the verification process is complete and subject to change based on verification results.

    University Scholarships and Grants

The majority of º£½ÇÂÛ̳'s Scholarships require that students enroll full-time and maintain a 2.0 GPA at minimum. Students receiving merit, and non-need-based aid are not required to complete the FAFSA for renewal. These awards are automatically renewed for up to 8 semesters (fall and winter) and will be applied to students' accounts during the summer term.

Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Probation Contracts

Students not meeting SAP standards are notified by email following the conclusion of each term. The first time a student does not meet SAP standards, a student will be placed on a warning. Aid will be renewed for that semester. If the student fails to meet SAP standards the subsequent semester, they will be notified that they are failing to meet SAP and are not eligible for financial aid. Students do have the ability to submit an appeal explaining their extenuating circumstances.
